Research Notes on Provigil Overdose
An overdose can occur if individual takes more than the recommended amount of Provigil, whether accidentally or intentionally. Possible symptoms of a Provigil overdose include nausea, insomnia, and restlessness. Treatment for a Provigil overdose will depend on whether any other medications were also ingested, how much Provigil was taken, and how much time has passed since the medication was taken.1
Fast Facts:
- If an overdose of Provigil is suspected, seek help at a local health care facility immediately, or contact a local poison control center by calling 1-800-222-1222.2
- Additional possible symptoms of a Provigil overdose include rapid pulse, anxiety, and tremor.2
- Provigil is a brand name of the generic medication modafinil.
