Studies have shown exposure to neuroleptics during pregnancy is associated with increased infant birth weight. Neurolpetics with the highest percentage of the medication crossing the placenta are clozapine and olanzapine, followed by haloperidol, risperidone, and quetiapine. Clozapine has been associated with sedation, irritability, and seizures in infants. There is limited data available on neuroleptics so caution is recommended.

Folic Acid Supplements Linked to Asthma
