Your recommended dosage of Ativan (lorazepam) depends on other medications you are currently taking and whether you have any other medical conditions.1 The recommended starting dose of Ativan is one mg taken two to three times daily.1 Your health care provider may increase your dose gradually as needed.2 You should not change the amount of Ativan you are taking without first consulting with your health care provider.2
