I was thinking today that it seems our morale, as a group, has been a bit down lately. We're heading into a season where we will all be reminded to be thankful for the blessings we have, and none of us should forget our positions with this company. Our company founders, and those who work hard to keep us running on a daily basis are people we should be thankful to have in our lives. After all, many apply with this company, yet few are chosen. We're blessed in that. The economy is still fragile at best, and yet, there is always work for us to do. In the midst of the normal flu season, with swine flu thrown into the mix this year, we don't have to worry about being exposed to it while we earn a living. Depending on any underlying health conditions, that can be a huge blessing.
I don't want to come across as sounding sanctimonious, by any means. I do think that it's important, though, that while we ponder on the upcoming changes within our company that we stay positive. (And, I'm reminding myself of this, just as I am hoping to remind everyone else!) Remember that, although our ways of doing things may change, and what we do may change significantly, our passion for helping others remains, and each person who is a part of this company shares that common goal.
I've listed above a few of the reasons why I am thankful for this company - not only today, but everyday, and if you're also thankful, tell us all why. Let's remind each other of all the great things about this company and our position within it.
