According to medical experts, a true wool allergy is very rare. What many people confuse as a wool allergy is actually known as wool sensitivity. The amount of people in the U.S. who suffer from a wool allergy is unknown.1
Fast Facts:
- Allergens are found in lanolin, which is a natural product in the sheep's fleece.2
- Symptoms of this allergy is typical allergic contact dermatitis. Redness and swelling may accompany the rash.2
