Research Notes on Women's Stroke Risk Linked to Sleep


Post menopausal women who sleep either too much or too little, are at a large risk of suffering from a stroke. Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York City examined over 93,000 women and saw that those who slept 9 hours or more on a regular basis were 70 percent more likely to have an ischemic stroke than women who slept 7 hours.
