Vitamins are substances that your body needs to grow and develop normally. They are found in the foods we eat and also in supplements.

- There are 13 vitamins needed by humans.
- The vitamins are vitamin A, vitamin C, vitamin D, vitamin E, vitamin K, thiamin, riboflavin, niacin, pantothenic acid, biotin, vitamin B-6, vitamin B-12 and folate.
- There are two types of vitamins: fat soluble and water soluble.
