Research Notes on Vitamin A and Eye Health
Vitamin A, also called retinol, aids the eyes in adjusting to light changes in the environment. It is also vital in keeping the eyes, skin and mucous membranes moist. Vitamin A deficiency may lead to several eye conditions and diseases such as night blindness, xeropthalmia (dry eyes), and total blindness.
