A vegetarian diet excludes all meats, poultry and fish. If well planned, this way of eating can cover all nutritional needs and have many health benefits. Vegetarians do need to make sure that their diets are not too low in protein, iron, zinc, vitamin B-12, vitamin A, calcium and Omega 3.
