Vasoconstrictors

Research Notes on Vasoconstrictors

Vasoconstrictors are drugs or sympathetic nerve fibers that induce narrowing of the blood vessels, which result in slowing, or constricting the flow of blood. Vasoconstrictors are also used as additives to local anesthetic solutions, to increase the quality and duration of the anesthesia, as well as decrease the amount of blood loss during surgery.
