Vanceril DS is a brand name for the drug beclomethasone. It is an inhaled steroid used to treat and prevent asthma attacks.1 For more information, see the beclomethasone WisdomCard.
Fast Facts:
- Vanceril DS will not treat asthma attacks once they have begun.2
- This medicine may cause a yeast infection in your mouth. To avoid this, always rinse your mouth out after using Vanceril DS.1
- Because Vanceril D can reduce your body's ability to fight off infections, you should avoid people who are sick.1
- Common side effects you may experience while using this medicine may include hoarseness, headache, dry mouth or throat, and voice changes.1
- More severe side effects such as hives, breathing problems, swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat should be reported to you health care provider as soon as possible.1
