Research Notes on VISA/VRSA
VISA (Vancomycin-Intermediate Staphylococcus aureus) and VRSA (Vancomycin-Resistant Staphylococcus aureus) are types of antibiotic-resistant staph bacteria, or 'superbugs.' They are, however, susceptible to several other FDA-approved drugs, so VISA and VRSA infections are treatable.
