About meI have been a Guide with OrganizedWisdom since July 2008. As of March 2009, I have completed over 500 WisdomCards and WisdomStubs.

I live in the Green Mountains of Vermont with my husband Brian. I am the owner and designer of a small cottage industry. We produce infant and children's fleece outerwear.

I am passionate about rescuing and taking care of older Pugs with special needs and those that have been rescued from the horrors of puppy mills. It is my hopes that one day puppy mills will not exist.

We currently share our home with six Pugs, one English Bulldog, an American mongrel, four cats, and two ferrets.

In my spare time (which there is very little of) I enjoy walking in the woods, sitting by a babbling brook, antiquing, and of course researching.

Expertise with health informationI am not a health professional by trade but I have had a lot of experience dealing with many medical issues in my endeavors of rescuing and caring for the medical needs of rescued Pugs. I currently foster an epileptic Pug and 2 diabetic Pugs. Recently I have been dealing and researching cancer, radiation and chemotherapy, parotid duct transposition, and pattela issues. In the past I cared for Pugs with canine cognitive dysfunction, a form of Alzheimers in dogs, congestive heart failure, deafness, and blindness, arthritis, skin problems, dry eye, urinary problems, kidney failure and the list goes on. I work very closely with my vet to help provide the best possible care for these little guys.

In the past I volunteered at a local hospital caring for patients of all ages. I've been a care giver and patient advocate for the terminally ill.

Experience with Web research and contentI have spent countless hours researching medical conditions and various drugs in great detail. I am constantly researching for better ways to care for and or provide new treatments and medications that will improve the quality of life for these guys.

Anything else we should know about you?With all the websites out there that discuss health related issues I consider it of the utmost of importance to recognize which web sites provide the best and precise health information available. It is imperative when gathering health information that only the most accurate and spam free websites be included on any Wisdom Card.
