Research Notes on Underpronation
Foot underpronation occurs when there is not enough inward roll of the foot, while walking or running, causing the impact of every step to be concentrated on a smaller area of the foot. This inadequate distribution of pressure may cause painful shins and joints, and may even lead to injury. Knowing the type of foot pronation one has is important in determining the appropriate shoe for correcting pronation.
