Research Notes on Ultrasound
Ultrasound technology, also called a sonogram, is when a portion of the body is given high frequency sound waves in order to produce a picture of the interior of that part of the body. Ultrasounds are most commonly use during a women's pregnancy to monitor the progress and health of the fetus. However, there are many other uses, most frequently to monitor the heart and digestive systems.
