Research Notes on Tumeric
Tumeric, also spelled turmeric, is an herb which has been used in both culinary and medicinal settings for many years.1 In addition to being used in many Asian and Indian food recipes, it is considered to be one of the most potent anti-inflammatory and antioxidants in nature.1 In recent studies, it has been shown to have some effect on melanoma cells.2

- Inhibits development of cataracts and reduces blood pressure.1
- Helps relieve arthritis pain, aid in digestion and liver function and regulate menstruation.4
