Research Notes on Thyroid Diet
Patients with thyroid problems are advised to eat foods that are rich in Vitamin C, riboflavin, niacin, and vitamin B6. In Hypothyroidism, where iodine is deficient, iodine-rich foods such as Salmon and tuna are highly recommended to restore thyroid function. In Hyperthyroidism, where calcium is depleted, calcium rich foods such as milk, yogurt and broccoli are advised.
