Research Notes on Thomas Edison and ADHD
Thomas Edison is one of the most cited famous people with ADHD. When Edison was young he attended three different schools between the ages of seven to nine. Not a single one of his teachers was able to handle his talkativeness, inability to sit still, and his lack of focus. Eventually his mother pulled him out of school and decided to home school him. People, including his own father, believed he was stupid. Today ADD and divergent thinking styles have even been dubbed "The Edison Trait."
