Research Notes on Tenormin Side Effects
Common side effects associated with the use of Tenormin include: depression, fatigue, and shortness of breath. In rare situations, allergic reactions may occur. Chest pain, difficulty breathing, or an irregular heartbeat should be promptly reported to your physician.1
Fast Facts:
- Diarrhea, dizziness, and cool fingers and toes are also fairly common side effects of Tenormin.2
- Although the potential for side effects is present, it is extremely rare that one person will experience all of these effects. Many, in fact, report no adverse effects from Tenormin.2
- Tenormin, a brand name of the generic medication atenolol, is sometimes recommended for the treatment of high blood pressure, angina, heart attack, and for the prevention of migraines.3
