Research Notes on Syncope Episodes
Syncope episodes can occur during urinating, straining to have a bowel movement, coughing, standing in one place too long, when experiencing fear, pain, or emotional distress, or with a sudden drop in blood pressure. Hyperventilation, drug and alcohol use, low blood sugar, and heart disease are also potential causes for syncope epidsodes.1
