Bone tumors in the hip can be either malignant or benign.1 Pain, bone fractures, interference with normal movements and a lump that can be felt through the skin are the most common symptoms.2 Non-cancerous bone tumors are more common than malignant ones.3

- Cancer that starts in the bone (primary cancer) is rare.1
- There is no known cause of cancer in the bone of the hip.1
