Research Notes on Sunscreen
Sunscreen is used to protect skin from damage caused by the sun. The sun can cause premature aging, sunburn and skin cancer. The proper use of sunscreen can protect or reduce the risk of these types of skin damage.1
Fast Facts:
- Sunscreen should be used even on cloudy days.2
- Apply 15 to 30 minutes before going outside.3
- Reapply every 2 hours, after swimming or heavy sweating.3
