Research Notes on Sun Poisoning
Sun poisoning, (also known as photodermatitis, photosensitivity, sun allergy, severe sunburn or polymorphous light eruption) is a reaction of the skin to UV rays of the sun. It could be caused by skin products such as sunscreen with PABA or fragrance, medications that make the skin more sensitive, immune disorders such as lupus or even a vitamin deficiency. Symptoms include those typical of sunburns plus fever, nausea, headache, dizziness with a rash or blisters appearing on the exposed skin.
