Strattera is a brand name for the drug atomoxetine. Doctors prescribe it to treat attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). Strattera improves the patient’s attention span, concentration, and emotional control. - Strattera is a selective norepinephine reuptake inhibitor (SNRI).2
- The most commonly reported side effects include irritability, dizziness, constipation, dry mouth, nausea, decreased appetite, dizziness, insomnia, sexual side effects, increased menstrual cramps, and skin rash or itching.1
- Strattera has been shown to increase suicidal thoughts in children.3
