Research Notes on Stomach Worms in Dogs
Dogs can pick up stomach worms -- Physaloptera -- which irritate the stomach lining leading to gastritis. Stomach worms will cause poor haircoat, poor appetite and sometimes vomiting. Dogs get these worms by eating insects which are carrying the worm's larvae.
