Research Notes on Statins May Cut Dementia Risk
Statins, which are used to lower cholesterol and prevent heart attacks and strokes, may be integral in slowing down dementia and memory loss. A study that observed over 1,600 elderly showed that the ones taking statins were about half as likely to develop dementia as those who do not.
