Research Notes on Stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer
Stage 4 pancreatic cancer occurs when the cancer has spread to other organs of the body, such as the liver, lungs, stomach, spleen, and bowel. Stage 4 pancreatic cancer includes two groups: stage 4A (localized) and stage 4B (metastatic). During stage 4A, the cancer has spread outside of the pancreas, but remains nearby. During stage 4B, the cancer has spread to distant organs.1
