A sports injury is an injury caused while playing a sport. the most common sports injuries include sprains, knee injuries, fractures, and dislocations.

- If you get hurt, it is important to stop playing in order to prevent further injury.
- Many sports injuries can be prevented if people take the proper precautions.
- You should call a health professional if the injury causes severe pain, swelling, or numbness, you can't tolerate any weight on the area, or the pain or dull ache of an old injury is accompanied by increased swelling or joint abnormality or instability.
