Research Notes on Spirituality and Addiction Treatment
Spirituality is thought to help in treating drug addiction. Being spiritual is said to increase one's self control therefore enhancing one's ability to recover from the addiction. It is also believed that spirituality leads to self acceptance which is important in decreasing the chances of taking drugs to feel good about one's self.
