Research Notes on Speech Defects
Sixteen in every 1,000 children are reported to have a chronic speech disorder, and 10 percent of children entering first grade have moderate to severe speech disorders (missing/substituted speech sounds, and stuttering). The cause of phonological disorder in children in unknown.
