Spasmodic Dysphonia
This WisdomCard managed by: Martin Dela Cruz
Spasmodic dysphonia, also called laryngeal dystonia, is a voice disorder involving involuntary movement of the muscles of the voice box. This causes the voice to break or have a strained, strangled sound. Spasmodic dysphonia cannot be cured, however, symptoms can be reduced by injecting very small amounts of botulinum toxin.
