Research Notes on Small Cell Lung Cancer
Small Cell Lung Cancer is one of the most deadly types of Lung Cancer. It is almost always caused by smoking. Because of its rapid growth, surgery is rarely an option and never the only treatment option given. Drugs must be used in treatment in order to kill the widespread disease of this cancer.

- Slightly more common in women
- Only about 5% of people with Small Cell Lung Cancer are alive after 5 years
- Has the most rapid growth of all lung cancers
- Accounts for about 10-15% of lung cancer cases
