Research Notes on Sleep Disorders and Anger
Sleep disorders and anger can go hand in hand. Anger or anxiety can cause problems with sleep, and new data suggests sleep deprivation can cause anger or other anxiety disorders.1 Sleep disorders such as obstructive sleep apnea and insomnia can also make you irritable and angry.2
Fast Facts:
- About 40 million Americans each year suffer from sleep disorders.3
- Holding onto feelings of resentment and anger can also contribute to a cycle of insufficient sleep.2
- Suppressed anger or frustration can also lead to bruxism or teeth grinding.4
