Research Notes on Sleep Apnea
Sleep apnea is a common disorder characterized by brief interruptions during sleep. They can last up to 10 seconds or longer, and can happen many times a night, leaving the person sometimes exhausted the next day from a lack of quality sleep. If the symptoms are bad enough, they may warrant treatment. There are many kinds of treatment, but the first thing the person should do is to see a doctor and have a sleep study done, to find out how extensive the treatment will need to be.
