Research Notes on Rash
A rash is an abnormal change in the skin. It could be caused by an infection, an inflammation, or an allergic reaction. The person who has the rash may show signs of a fever, malaise, or musculoskeletal pain.
Fast Facts:
- It may appear flat, bumpy, scaly, red, or of another color.
- It may itch or swell.
- It could burn, sting, or tingle.
- It may be due to a contagious illness, such as measles, rubella, or chickenpox.
- It could also be an allergic reaction to soaps, detergents, shampoos, or lotions.
- Treat it with the right ointment or lotion.
- Leave it alone as much as possible.
- If there are no improvements, seek medical attention.
