Research Notes on Skelaxin Side Effects
As with any medication, there is a chance of experiencing side effects when taking Skelaxin. The most common side effects include dizziness, drowsiness, headache, irritability, nausea, nervousness, upset stomach, and vomiting.1 Rash, anemia, and low white blood cell count are less common, but possible side effects of this drug.2

- Potentially serious side effects of Skelaxin include stomach pain, loss of appetite, low fever, dark urine, clay-colored stools, and jaundice.3
- Seek medical attention if you experience symptoms of an allergic reaction such as hives, difficulty breathing, or swelling of the face, lips, tongue, or throat.3
- Talk to your doctor if any side effects of Skelaxin persist or become bothersome.3
- Skelaxin is a brand name for the drug metaxalone.
