Research Notes on Sjogren's Syndrome and Kidney Disease


Patients with Sjogren's syndrome can sometimes also develop kidney disease.1 Kidney complications are a frequent manifestation and may occur prior to typical symptoms of Sjogren's.2 The most common kidney problem in people with Sjogren's syndrome is known as interstitial nephritis, which is an inflammation of the tissue around the kidney's filters.3
