Research Notes on Sinus Headache


Sinuses are bony air-filled cavities, located around the nasal area. When a person has a cold, the sinuses become inflamed and congested. Pressure accumulates around the facial area and this causes pain and headache. Doctors usually recommend antibiotics, pain relievers, decongestants, nasal sprays, and a lot of fluid intake to relieve symptoms. As the sinus congestion clears up, the sinus headache also disappears.
