Sinus congestion or more commonly referred to as nasal congestion is the obstruction of nasal passages due to the inflammation of the nasal membranes. It is usually caused by common cold, flu, sinus infections, and allergies. Sinus congestion normally heals on its own. However, one can speed up clearing of the sinuses by taking decongestants and antihistamines or drinking plenty of fluids which is proven to flush out the irritants and the secretions out of the body.
