Research Notes on Silver Nitrate
Silver nitrate is used for cauterization of wounds and ulcers, removal of granulation tissue and warts, and for aseptic prophylaxis of burns. It is also applied into the eyes of newborn babies just minutes after birth as a way of preventing blindness from exposure to maternal gonorrhea during birth.
