Radiation therapy side effects will depend on which area of the body is exposed to radiation. In general, the procedure's side effects may include skin irritation, fatigue, hair loss, mouth sores and loss of appetite. Relief and comfort measures are available to certain conditions such as ice chips for mouth sores or wig and scarves for hair loss.
