Research Notes on Shingles May Raise Stroke Risk
A new study shows that adults who have shingles have a higher risk of suffering from a stroke, especially if the shingles affects the eyes. Shingles, also called herpes zoster, is caused by the same virus that causes chicken pox. This study is published in the online October 2009 edition of Stroke.1
