Scoliosis is a medical condition in which a person's spine is curved from side to side, and may also be rotated. It is an abnormal lateral curvature of the spine. Fast Facts:

  • Thoracic-lumbar-sacral orthosis (TLSO) is usually worn 22-23 hours a day and applies pressure on the curves in the spine.1
  • If the curve is 20 to 40 degrees, the orthopedist will generally suggest a back brace.2
  • An undershirt should be worn underneath the brace.3
