Sarcoidosis

Sarcoidosis is an inflammatory disease, most commonly arising in young adults, in which granulomas appear in the lungs and/or lymph nodes. The cause of sarcoidosis is unknown. The disease, which can also affect the skin, has four stages and is most commonly treated with corticosteroid medications.
