Roundworms
This WisdomCard managed by: Elisa Carter
Roundworms or nematodes have over 15,000 parasitic species that can infect humans. They can enter the body through the mouth with the touch of parasite-infected hands, ingestion of contaminated food and water, and through open wounds exposed to contaminated surfaces. A parasitic infection of this type, when left untreated, may cause intestinal obstruction.
