Research Notes on Reserpine
Reserpine is a antihypertensive medication used to treat high blood pressure. It helps lower blood pressure levels by reducing certain chemicals in the brain. Some common side effects associated with the use of reserpine include dry mouth, headaches, congestion, and dizziness.1
Fast Facts:
- Reserpine is only recommended for use in adults.1
- Reserpine should be used with caution in those with a history of ulcerative colitis, peptic ulcers, gallstones, and those who are pregnant.1
- Alcohol should be avoided while taking reserpine.1
- Reserpine is also sold under the brand name Harmonyl.2
