Research Notes on Refractive Eye Disorders
The inability of the eye to properly bend light that passes through it is called a refractive error. It is a very common eye condition with an estimated prevalence of about 800 million to 2.3 billion worldwide. Refractive errors cause visual problems such as nearsightedness or farsightedness. People who have refractive eye disorders can have their vision corrected by using corrective lenses or refractive surgery.
