Research Notes on Red Wine May Slow Aging
Resveratrol, an ingredient in red wine, has been tested on lab mice and was foun to slow aspects of aging up to 30%. Resveratrol activates protein agents in people called sirtuins, which aids in tissue maintenance. The problem associated with resveratrol is that it needs to be administered in high doses to achieve it's purposes, which would equal numerous bottles of wine a day.
