Children have high incidence of the recurrence of gastroenteritis, especially in small community areas such as daycare centers. The major factor in the propagation of infection is bed-sharing. Researchers claim that after 6-10 days recovery from the first attack of any bacteria causing gastroenteritis, there are 7 recurrent episode attacks following in just 3 months. Researchers conclude that time interval from the first attack stages and allow the bacteria to incubate in the gastrointestinal tract.
