Research Notes on Rectal Bleeding
There are many reasons why someone may experience rectal bleeding, known medically as hematochezia. Hemorrhoids, rips in the lining of the rectum, polyps, or even tumors are all possible causes. Rectal bleeding can also be coming from other parts of the gastrointestinal tract. Treatment depends on the cause of the bleeding, so it is important to consult your doctor.
